Dr. Matthew Murphy earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, IN. Before this, he completed a Masters of Science in Neuroscience and Anatomy at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. He also attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL for his undergraduate education, where he participated as a student-athlete, playing four years of baseball for the Salukis.
At the Indiana School of Dentistry, Dr. Matthew completed comprehensive training in general dentistry and demonstrated a strong commitment to community service. He actively participated in various volunteer initiatives, concurrently serving as a teaching assistant for clinical and didactic courses, as well as fulfilling the role of intramural sports coordinator for his class.
Originally from Grayslake, Dr. Matthew, is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life and oral health for all individuals. His primary objective is to elevate the dental experience by prioritizing active listening, respecting patients’ voices, presenting comprehensive treatment options, and fostering trust through effective communication. Dr. Matthew believes that communication is the cornerstone of a strong patient-provider relationship and welcomes inquiries to support patient understanding.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Matthew finds pleasure from activities such as exercising, drawing, golfing, skiing, enjoying sci-fi films, and, most importantly, spending quality time with friends and family.
